Reservations and Cancellations:

• Reservations: Please book as early as possible. For confirmed reservations we require a 50% deposit during the regular season, and a full night’s deposit during a holiday season (such as New Year; Chinese New Year; Easter; School/University breaks; Hari Raya; Christmas). At the Inn, we accept cash payment in major currencies, traveler cheques, or bank transfers. Our representatives in Kota Kinabalu also accept credit cards (see Links)

• Cancellations: Since we cater to a very small number of valued guests, any last minute cancellations affect us very badly. At the same time, we fully understand that unforeseen events and emergencies can wreak havoc to your vacation plans. If you cancel your reservation more than 14 days prior to your arrival AND we can fill the room with other guests, we will refund your deposit less than a RM 50.00 administration fee. If you cancel your reservation within less than 14 days prior to your arrival, AND/OR if we cannot fill the room with another guest, you will forfeit your deposit.

Check-In / Out

Check In: 14:00 or by prior arrangement.

Check Out: 11:00 or by prior arrangement.

Minimum stay

During regular seasons, we do not require a minimum stay (except for certain specials).

During major holidays, we require a minimum stay of 2 nights. Major holidays include New Year; Chinese New Year; Easter; Hari Raya; Christmas, and local school holidays.

Refunds for food or services not taken

We do not give refunds for food or services offered but not taken (Example: breakfast)

Quiet enjoyment

By staying at the Inn, guests agree to abide by all existing Malaysian laws and practice Common Sense and Courtesy.

We do not accommodate more than two guests in one room. If you pre-register two guests, and arrive with more than two guests, we will try to accommodate your group in additional rooms (if available) at applicable rates, or ask you to find accommodation elsewhere. No exceptions.

It is a definite “no-no” cook inside your room or on the verandah. However, we encourage the safe use of candles for that romantic Magic Mountain feel and ambience.

Confines

The Magic Mountain Bed and Breakfast Inn caters to mature travelers and golfers only.

The Magic Mountain Bed and Breakfast Inn is a smoke-free building. Smoke-detectors are installed in all rooms. However, smoking is permitted in designated open-air areas.

The Magic Mountain Bed & Breakfast Inn is not wheelchair accessible.

We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services to individuals or groups without stated reason.

Commission

Commissionable at 15% to bona fide travel agents / tour operators.
