Our Life-style

We, Peter and Lily, have opened the Magic Mountain Country Home in 2008 for the enjoyment of mature, individual travelers and golfers from far and near.

We have combined our different cultural backgrounds to celebrate time-honoured Malaysian and Austrian traditions, offering our guests the best of two worlds. No strangers to life’s challenges, we have decided to exchange our respective big city and international careers for a more gentle, rural life-style based on traditional values and philosophies.

When we are not busy welcoming and taking care of our guests from all over the world, we pursue mutual and individual hobbies and interests that include music, literature, fine arts, yoga, herbalism, classical and international films, gardening, photography, woodworking, sauntering along wilderness trails, and life-long learning.

The Magic Mountain Country Home is also a commitment to the future. From opposite ends of this fabulous region we have seen natural resources disappear at an alarming rate. We are dedicated to protecting at least our corner of the world for future generations to come. 

As strong advocates of wilderness ethics and intelligent management of natural assets, we also understand that a viable Sabah economy is a vital factor in nature preservation. We are committed to help develop Sabah’s potential as a national and international vacation destination.
